The pupa stage is one of the coolest stages of a butterfly's life. As soon as a caterpillar is done growing and they have reached their full length/weight, they form themselves into a pupa, also known as a chrysalis. From the outside of the pupa, it looks as if the caterpillar may just be resting, but the inside is where all of the action is. Inside of the pupa, the caterpillar is rapidly changing.
The Alabaster Box is going into a chyrsalis or pupa stage. We've spent a year on Main Street Stroudsburg Pa and seen many great things that the Lord has done. Some changes have taken place at our building that have forced us to leave. Simulaneously God has spoken to us to "Draw away into a hidden place" to take a season in the desert place. Now why would we want to go there...?! Well actually it's NOT a boring dry place at all in fact it's quite nice leaning on your beloved!
Song of Solomon 8:5 Who is this coming up from the desert leaning on her lover?
As God leads us into a deeper revelation of His rest, we are learning to completely "lean" on Him and His finished works! During this season we are going to meditate on all the lord has done for us! The Lord led us to this incredible facility called Glenwood Inn at Delaware Water Gap Pa. The main meeting room has high ceilings with a beautiful deck overlooking the mountains. Connected is a beautiful fellowship hall and also a full size indoor swimming pool / baptismal!
To visit their website go to www.glenwoodinncc.com
On the property are tennis courts, badmitten, volleyball, camping, etc... We feel so loved by papa and are excited to see what He has planned! We can't wait to spend time in prayer and fellowship with the family God has given us. We are entering this season to draw back and work on our relationships with God and one another. .
The current schedule for the Alabaster Box is Saturday Nights 6pm.
In June we will add midweek services and youth nights.
Love and rest!
Robert & Susan Young & The Alabaster Box!
During this time of drawing away we were going to postpone the Dave Vaughan meeting as we feel so strong about not doing much but drawing away... but we didn't have the heart to cause we love Dave! But then he just contacted me and asked if we could postpone the meeting because he sold his house and has alot going one... so the Lord will have his way... go figure!
